Setting Up Home Networking


MebTel's wireless home network contains several different products, depending on whether you are using a laptop or a desktop computer. These pages will guide you through configuring each wireless product that MebTel offers. Currently the minimum requirements for MebTel's home network is a computer running Windows 98 SE/XP/2000 with at least a Pentium II processor. Currently Windows ME is NOT supported for wireless home networking. If you experience any problems while setting up your wireless home network contact D-Link at 1.877.453.5465.

1) Setup Wireless Card

The first step in setting up your wireless home network is to install and setup a wireless card on your computer. MebTel offers three wireless cards. Please select your card to continue installation.

  • 2) Setup Wireless Access Point

    The second step in setting up your wireless home network is to configure your wireless access point. Click the link below to configure the access point.

  • 3) Setup Repeaters

    In some cases you may wish to extend the range of your wireless network. Repeaters simply take the signal of your access point and "repeats" it in order to extend the range of the signal. Click the link below to configure your repeater.
