Configuring DWL-900+
1) Install the Access Point
Begin by connecting the supplied ethernet cable into a empty port on the MebTel Broadband router. Place the other end of the cable into the port marked WAN on the back of the access point. It will be the port closest to the power receptor.
Then plug the supplied power adapter into the power receptor.
2) Connect to the Access Point
The method in which you connect to the access point depends on the wireless card you are using. Choose the wireless card below to continue with installation.
3) Configure the Access Point

Open your web browser and type http://192.168.0.50 in the address bar.
Press Enter.

Type admin in the "User Name" field and then click OK.

The DWL-900AP+ configuration screen will then load.
Click on the button labeled Run Wizard.

The Install Wizard will then launch.
Click Next.
|
|
|
Enter a password of your choice in the password field or if you prefer, you can leave this blank.
Click Next.

|
You will then be prompted for the SSID and the channel. You may change these if you like or you can use the defaults.
If you have other electronic devices interfering with your wireless network you might want to try changing the channel of your wireless devices.
Click Next.

You will then be asked if you would like to turn encryption on.
MebTel recommends that you leave encryption turned off.
Click Next.

Click Restart to complete the configuration.

After the DWL-900AP+ restarts your computer should automatially detect the device and connect to it. If your computer has problems connecting to the access point consult the segment entitled Connecting to the Access Point which can be found here.
